Lissia is a Mechanical Engineering student with a strong focus on mechanical design and robotics. She is interested in building physical systems that combine thoughtful design with precise functionality, with experience in CAD modeling, system prototyping, and real-time data integration. Her work often explores how mechanical components interact within larger dynamic systems, from initial concept through implementation and testing.

She is particularly drawn to robotics as a space where mechanical design directly impacts system capability. She is interested in developing mechanisms that are not only functional, but also robust, efficient, and adaptable to real-world conditions.

Lissia is actively involved in the first collegiate humanoid robot project as a project lead within the Columbia Robotics Club, where she also serves as treasurer. In this role, she contributes to the design, development, and coordination of a large-scale robotics system. She is also a project lead in the Robotics and Rehabilitation Laboratory, through which she has published a systematic review on mechanical simulators used in hippotherapy, focusing on their design, functionality, and applications in rehabilitation.

Through these experiences, she continues to strengthen her skills in mechanical design, hands-on prototyping, and collaborative engineering, with the goal of contributing to innovative robotic systems.
